HOW TO REACH LA LOMILLA FROM ORGIVA BY CAR OR WALKING?

ROUTE DESCRIPTION via ROUTE A (upper route by car)

* From Orgiva take the road to Pampaneira, Trevelez.

* You are passing the junctions for the villages of Cañar (about 4 km from Orgiva) and Soportujar (about 11 km from Orgiva).

* About 1 km after the junction for Soportujar,(first passing the restaurant los Llanos at your left hand side) you reach Ermita de Padre Eterno, a small chapel at your right hand side on top of a slope and right before a bend to the left).

* Here the unpaved road direction La Lomilla starts at your right hand side.

So from here on:

• 0 m: Ermita de Padre Eterno, take the unpaved road to the right
  
• 700m: Stone-pit, keep left.
  
• 900m: Keep to the right (follow red arrow), so do not bend left into the valley!
  
• 1300m: Again: keep to the right, so do not bend into the next valley.
  
• The road becomes paved for a small distance (cement).
  
• 1600m: Junction: again keep to the right.
  
• 1900m: A chapel on your left hand side: Ermita de Virgen de Fatima. You are passing a beautiful white house on your left hand side (with a lawn).
  
• 2500m: In a bend to the left you are passing a large farmhouse
  
• 2900m: At a ruin of an old olive mill with mill-stones next to the door the road is bending sharply to the right.
  
• 3500m: Junction to the left: this road is leading to our neighbours above us. Keep heading straight ahead.
  
• 3800m: Between two buildings: straight ahead.
  
• 4100m: Two hairpin bends.
  
• 4300m: Turn left (follow arrow); at your right hand side there is a ruin with a palm tree.
  
• ca. 5000m: bear to the right (downhill)
  
• ca. 5500m: take left to La Lomilla (stone with superscription).
